That's right, there isn't a way to fix this on the new system.

You could sign up for google apps for your domain.

      Re: Email From Address?

Just spoke to Sky, they are aware of the problem and are investigating a solution.

In the meantime, you have two options:

      i) Change the SMTP server back to smtp.sky.com using port 25 and no SSL. This means you will be able to send email from all non-sky accounts but no longer from your Sky account.

ii) Add a second SMTP server to your email client so that you have both available smtp.sky.com and smtp.tools.sky.com and then select which one to use for each email account you have.

Option 1 works fine. Option 2 I have not yet tried but will give it a go and see if it works.

I'm not sure how long Sky will continue to keep the old SMTP server running but probably for a while as a back up in case things go Pete Tong!

Ive done option i) and its working fine again for now, wonder how long it will take them to fix it (or take the old smtp server down)

They are not going to fix it - it is a well documented "feature" of Gmail.
