    anyone moved to the new email ???

    This is a discussion on anyone moved to the new email ??? within the Sky Email and Portal Log-in forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; hi all..... just curious ,did a set up for a new user the other day ,and they got the new ...

      anyone moved to the new email ???

      hi all.....
      just curious ,did a set up for a new user the other day ,and they got the new gmail (tools).
      so ....has anyone been moved over from skys effort to the new gmail yet ????

      I don't have an email facility with my account. I am one of "several " customers who can't seem to have it and I was promised when the new mail system was set up, I would be one of the first to get it.

      This is an ongoing problem since August.

      Now Sky tell me that they have no idea when my problem will be resolved and anyway email was only included with Broadband as and I quote " a free add on to the Sky broadband service." Silly me! I thought that it was "part "of the service that I signed up for.

      Hi daxian and thanks for the reply.

      I have managed to change my user name and password now but when I log onto sky is says that no email is set up for me. I have contacted sky lots of times but all they say is that they are trying to resolve the issue. I have no idea where to go next and any help you can offer would be great.

      I moved everybody in my house (my dads house lol) to hotmail due to the lack of resources SKY provided and then the large amount of SPAM my mum started to recieve for no obvious reason.

      I haven't been moved over as as I am one of a rare bread in that my Sky email has worked since day one I couoldn't really careless if they never move me across. If it ain't brok don't mix it as they saying goes.

      hi again mezzapod....
      if you can login to the sky portal then i can help (hopefully).
      on the sky portal page: goto "my profile"(need to login again).
      this should take you to "my sky"with the option to manage your additional users,

      choose this option,use a different name & fill in all the details ,choose a new password (dont use your sky email and password (that you dont have haha)use an old email address or hotmail address) and then click on submit .

      if you dont get the option to manage your additional users then you are stumped
      and will have to wait for sky to get their act together ,or use an alternate email such as gmail.

      this has worked for me on a number of occasions where the user did not have a valid sky email...so, fingers crossed, it should work for you .Dave.

      HI daxian, thanks for trying but I don't get an option to "manage additional users". I guess that I will just have to wait for Sky to sort it but I do think that the service they provide for email is rubbish.
