      Yup. Missed it the first time around, but changed it some time ago. I can access messages on Sky's web page, but nothing will come through to Windows Email. If, as others are suggesting, there's a problem with the server, you'd think they'd at least post a message somewhere to less us know, rather than make us run the gauntlet of technical 'support'.

      Re: New Sky Email SMTP and POP Settings (powered by Google)

      @deepkent,
      My username and password are unchanged, according to Sky, so I haven't changed them. Now I can't send or receive any email, though I had no problems before.
      Just changed the settings on five different accounts & had to remember that the "User name " now has to include @sky.com. So it becomes "joebloggs@sky.com". (certainly in Outlook Express).

      On testing between accounts, anything sent is going straight to the Google spam box of the receiving account.
      Brilliant - we've just migrated from Sky's email which did the same. Can't find anyway of turning off the Google spam filter.

      Perhaps it will get sorted in time,

      Ever hopeful,

      Max.

      Re: New Sky Email SMTP and POP Settings (powered by Google)

      I've just been changed to the new email service
      I recieved close to 100 emails telling me to change my settings (one would have done). Anyway...I've changed all of the settings required and can recieve mail but when I try to send it errors saying "unable to send test message. Please verify the email address field". I've not changed this as my address remains the same. Any ideas as to wat's going on?

      Looks like O2's new BB will be getting some new customers from here of Sky don't watch out! I'm in the same state regarding sending emails as most on here now. I've been changed over, changed the OE settings as per instructed (about 4 emails?) and now can't send out at all.

      why oh why don't Sky leave things alone-or is that too much to ask???

      Hey - Ive had problems too. Changed over to Sky Tools e-mail server tonight, could login to portal but Outlook 2003 wouldn't work despite correct settings. Wouldn't log on to server. However after numerous calls and surfing I found that if repeatedly asked for username and password you need to go to this link and follow the instructions and I'm pretty sure you will get it working. I'm working now!
