      Port 25 Limitations

Does anybody know what the official limitations are for port 25?

We use our own mail server mail.domain.com, she sent an Email today to about 150 clients and it seems about 50 emails were returned with error "Unroutable mail domain".

Is there a 100 max recipient limit if so how long does this limitation last before you can send again?

      Re: Port 25 Limitations

I was not aware of any limitations, apart from the fact that Sky Broadband is not for use with any Business, it is a residential only product.

Perhaps that may be why, as there is not normally a requirement for an individual or family to send so many in one go.

Be very careful if you ring, as you could have your BB terminated if they latch on that you could possibly be using it for a business environment.

Thanks Newsreader, I appreciate that sky broadband is not for business use and sending a few emails a day and browsing is the max the connection is used for. Its just that once in a blue moon we need to send an Email batch like this. The weird thing is we have not had a problem before today.

No probs, I was just you giving a heads up, in case you rang and mentioned it.

The thing is there is really no one to ask without raising the question why.

AFAIK there are none, and it may have been just a one off.

Make sure your resolvers are correct try another resolver if you are using the Sky Ones..
As Sky's DNS is pretty naff.
