      Sky Store DVD

Just wondering if the DVD sky send is the same as the one you could buy in store or online? Thought about getting LEGO Movie early but don't want to miss out on any extras the retail version might have.

      Re: Sky Store DVD

I rather think it will be a 'special' Sky only edition, with few or none of the extras you get in a retail version, but I could be wrong.

Not special Sky versions, they are retail with all the trimmings, I was part of the trial

Please rethink this. Lego movie on sky store and keep 13.99. DVD from amazon 10.00, bluray 13.00

Appreciate you can watch it now on sky, but it's only 13 days till it's released.

      Re: Sky Store DVD

The only thing which may be missing is the Ultra Violet leaflet which you often get enclosed in the DVD or Blu-ray boxes in the shops.

Otherwise, as Annie-UK has said, the DVD is identical to what you would purchase in the shops. So you do get all the extras available on the standard DVD. Sometimes you can get a limited edition in the shops. I don't think Sky will be shipping these versions.

The pricing is hard though. Sure you get to see the movie in HD if you choose that version to download. The SD version doesn't appear to be available at the moment. Sky is offering a 5 star trip to Denmark with this specific movie at the moment, provided that you get a copy from the Buy & Keep section.

Personally I prefer to get the Blu-ray versions myself. Often I'll get the 3D version instead. Currently Sky aren't offering these.

Just to let you know Scubbie, my copy of Ted (Extended Edition), that I got on the trial, has the Ultraviolet leaflet enclosed.

      Re: Sky Store DVD

lol - I think that mine did too, but the rest didn't.

I was at HMV this afternoon and too a look at the DVDs and Blu-rays there. I did note that often the Ultra Violet label was not present on the DVDs on the shelves, but their equivalent Blu-ray did have it. Perhaps this is something they mostly put with the Blu-rays and not so much with the DVDs.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a Ultraviolet label?
