Poor availability of content - why?

Why are there only a selection of shows available via Sky On Demand?

I would have thought that the On Demand service was taken direct from the provider, but this obviously isn't the case. Sky's own content seems fine, BBCi isn't too bad but 4oD and Demand5 are abismal. Quite often I have to resort to sitting back at the PC to watch the programme I am looking for!

I was really looking forward to this service but I find it increasingly frustrating.

Re: Poor availability of content - why?

The content is made available by each provider. The Sky At Night was shown last weekend and isn't available to watch via the BBC iPlayer, so I was annoyed with this.

You are welcome to contact each provider to ask why there is such a poor selection of programmes. It will help if you can be specific as it might otherwise be that a particular show was shown too long ago otherwise.

P.S. The Sky At Night wasn't available for my TV or Home Theatre either with their built-in BBC iPlayer apps.
