Are you able to disconnect your BT home hub and place it near enough to your Sky+ HD box to directly connect it using the ethernet cable that was supplied with your Sky connector. With no other cables attached to your hub except for the power cable access the Sky box's network screen and check that an IP address has been allocated and that the local connection shows "OK". If not try using the red button on the remote to reset the connection. The service connection will fail as your hub will not be connected to the internet but this will at least prove your Sky box and the ethernet cable.

The Sky Wireless Adaptor has a WPS button and so does the BT HomeHub (v2 & v3).

Could I suggest that you press the WPS button on the BT HomeHub for 10 seconds I think to activate it. Then press the WPS button on the Sky Wireless Adaptor (within the time that the WPS flashes orange on the BT HomeHub).

This should allow the two to connect to one another.
