Can i use the sky on demand router for other things

      HI GUYS

my main sky router is in my living room but my sky hd with on demand is in my bedroom. i recieved one of the little extenders from sky to allow me to connect my sky hd box to my network to recieve the on demand features.

      my question is

i have just bought a new smart tv which needs either a wireless dongle has tobe an lg one or use the ethernet port.

would it be possible to use the spare port at the back of the extender and plug it into the tv to get the features for the tv or are the little sky routers/extenders specially for just on demand with sky box

      thanks

You should be able to, why not give it a try?

      Well done.

For reference, should you wish to expand in future, simply swap in a Network switch between your TV and the WiFi adaptor. You can then add a network link for a Blu-Ray or some other device. Saying that, many new Blu-Rays have WiFi built in now.

Re: Can i use the sky on demand router for other things

I use the Wireless Connector to connect all of my devices near the TV and it works fine.

I simply connected it to the Sky+HD box to get it joined to the network then connected it to a cheap old Netgear switch I had and it provides network access for the Sky box, Blu-Ray and my Xbox360.

      Not bad for 9.99!
