Give Sky a call to see if they will ship you the newer WiFi adaptor.

Personally I would advise against WiFi for gaming. It might therefore be better to get an Ethernet cable (Cat 5e) or a pair of HomePlugs for everything instead.

      Re: Sky On Demand frustration

You have the Sagem 2504n on a Fibre connection. Apart from a couple of duff firmware updates, which have both been stopped, this router appears to be very good with minimal issues.

I would be loath to criticise it's WiFi performance based on what I have read from others on this forum. There is a few differences between the Sagem 2504N and the Sky Hub SR101 for WiFi, but again this is not that significant.

However I stand by what I said before about using WiFi when playing on games consoles. If you are a serious gamer who like fast response times, then please consider connecting everything with an Ethernet cable or a pair of HomePlugs. You can use a Network Switch to allow them all to share the link to the router and everything should run much more smoothly.

What you could do though is to change the channel to something which may work better. You can use inSSIDer to help, but try to stick with 1, 6, 11 or 13.
