      On Demand Content

Hi, I'm a new user here, and to sky tv in general. Could I please ask is the sky on damaned service not as good as when viewed thorugh sky. I seem to be lacking content on all the on demand channels. It all appears very limited, unlike when, for instance BBC Iplayer is searched throungh online via my laptop

My connection is via a wired ethernet cable directtly to my Sky+HD box. The full index of BBC Iplayer isnt there and doesnt allow me to search for all programes.

This may be the norm and I just wanted to check that everything is set up correctly.

I apologise in advance if this subject has been covered before.

      Re: On Demand Content

If you are able to see the On Demand and Catch Up TV content, then you should be able to get all that is available on the Sky+ HD STB.

Where there is content which is available via you PC On-line, but not on the Sky STB, then this is down to the BBC not Sky in most cases. There was an instance of a film which the BBC had shown and which was available on Sky's Movie Library. This wasn't available via the BBC section.

Since the content is entirely under the control of the different providers (i.e. BBC, ITV, Channel 5) it might be worth contacting the BBC when something isn't available and asking for an explanation.
