Of course there will be more changes once the Catch Up TV is launched too.

As for cracking the Sky encryption, there are people out there who already delve into this. I don't know how good they are at present but there is a market for it. There are also people who already upload content from Sky for torrents, etc.
Sorry, I just meant the DLNA protocol for controlling the Sky box... I don't think I advocate the cracking of the actual encryption scheme because I think it would open too much of a rat's nest, although it would be good if it was somehow easier to get access to that local media sharing from recordings.

I am not sure have the content will be shared and whether it will use DLNA. It may well be that Sky uses their own system to make it harder for people to crack.

Sorry shakey1980, I don't work for Sky and don't have those powers.

The first two stages for the Beta Trialists on the DRX890 and DRX895 is over for now. There are other things going on, but it is much quieter (if you call the number of messages posted today quiet).

The first two phases have been compacted into one for the next three Sky+ HD STBs (DRX780, Pace & Samsung) and are being carried out now. I'm not involved in this part (the break is nice ) and once it is ready for release to the public, Sky will start updating these STBs. I am sure that there will be some kind of a post on this forum to let people know when this will happen nearer the time.

      Re: Anytime+ menu reorganise

Yay, finally got the new firmware: R005.053.70.05P

I definitely like how the whole On Demand section has been organised now, makes sense and easy to navigate
