Migrating to Sky
Hello everyone,
I'm shortly to be migrated to Sky from Zen. Though I was happy with Zen, there was a fault at the exchange (or somewhere between myself and the exchange) that BT could not fix, despite sending an engineer out 3 times. My speeds would drop off from mid-afternoon onwards (despite being fine in the mornings). This coincided exactly with BT's move to 21CN after 2 years of a fast-at-all-times connection. None of the engineers would find any fault with my home wiring. Eventually BT just said "no idea, sorry".
Cue move to Sky LLU.
I'm due to switch to on the 10th and have received my router (the D-Link), which I hope will be cracked soon as I'd love to use my Draytek.
I'm extremely glad I found this forum, I feel better about the move already.
Edit: If a mod would like to move this to the Say Hello thread (my apologies for my mistake), that would be great.

Re: Migrating to Sky
As long as the fault was in the exchange and not with the line between there and you then you should be ok.
Do you have your router stats from your Zen connection? this will give a good indication if your final speed.

This morning. I wouldn't worry, they have plenty of time to get it to you.

Re: Migrating to Sky
I don't believe that for a second, do you know how many ISP's are out there, you would need to migrate on a weekly basis.
I don't pay for calls to Sky as I have Skytalk
Never had a problem here hae you checked your phone?
Well as you shouldn't be using it for business you can remove that one. If broadband is important to your business than you should invest in a proper business class package with a good SLA. You have not done a very good job comparing if you missed out on that vital part of the T&S's.
Nonesense, I get 18mb, tell me what dongle can do that???
Not sure what that means!!!
