      Do I Need To Wait

I am currently with Talktalk as an LLU customer. My phoneline is due to switch to BT in a weeks time but I would like to order Sky Unlimited/Talk just now so my downtime is minimal. Is this possible or do I have to wait till BT actually take over the line? Thanks for any help.

You can try, but as your line is not compatible at the moment, they will probably not accept your order. Even after you transfer back to BT it may be 7-10 days before your line shows up available for Sky broadband.

I was originally wanting to take everything including line rental to Sky but was told this was not possible. Shocking that in this day and age you need to wait nearly a fortnight to move a service from one provider to another.

That is because you were with an LLU supplier, if you were with BT the move would have been almost immediate. For some reason it is very difficult to move from one LLU provider to another. Anyone with their phone rental with Sky, if they are on Sky's own network, have the same problem when moving to another provider.
