Still Dropouts after Line Capping
Hi All,
Anyone with ideas of where to go...what to do...?
After having stable connections for a while, following all the tweeks mentioned on here in various threads... I started having regular dropouts of Internet connection, both hard wired and wireless.
After many calls to SKY with the problems, Tier3 advised they would cap my speed down from 8meg to 6. This was about 6 weeks ago and the service and reliabilty certainly improved.... infact, I would say faultless - TILL LAST WEEK !!
Why oh why, should something be "stable" for a while, only for the same problems to be happening again weeks later.
Now, my internet light on the Router regularly goes out every 15 minutes and I can go most days with little access to the web. I am already on my 2nd Router, so is this another faulty one or something more basic at the exchange?
Support keep trying to say it is wiring in the house, cables, interference etc... etc... but this does not explain why after fitting ALL the relevant filters, master faceplate etc.... and having good service for over a month - why the problems have come back. Nothing has changed in the house during all this time.
I have been more than patient with SKY, getting a refund for a month, but there is only so much a guy can take.
Anyone with thoughts on what it could be?
Thanks.
