If the line develops a fault it'll go down, if not you're fine...DLM monitors the line 24/7 and adjusts accordingly

OK so after 4 days of DLM, I have the following:

Connection Speed 14292 kbps 1036 kbps
Line Attenuation 20.5db 11.4db
Noise Margin 6.9db 8.0db

I am aware of an earlier post suggesting some noise on the line, I can detect the slightest of crackles on the line when I use the phone, so have logged this with Sky, awaiting a call back - I wanted to test their email response systems!

Having said the above what I am getting internet-wise is a stack faster than my previous provider, Orange on their up to 8mb package.

I can actually watch a HD youtube clip for a start!

Speedtest.net right now gives me 12.5mb/s, 0.87 up, ping 51ms.

Let's see if I can get this crackle cleared, which wasn't present prior to going over to LLU and hopefully take it a little faster.

Going by that you're about the top end. Main difference being is the constant speed and no slow down during peak hours

You have a few errors but not enough to worry about. It looks like you are at your maximum, in fact it may drop back a bit. 15+Mb is fairly high for your attenuation.
@dibdab
You will probably get a bit more, but not a lot 7-8Mbs. You are on that borderline where there is not much difference between ADSL2+ and G,DMT, to see a real benefit from the faster mode you really need to be syncing at near 8Mb on BT Max.

If you have not already tried it and don't have a filtered faceplate, plug into your Test socket and take the stats from there. You are looking for an increase in your downstream noise margin, the speed is unlikely to increase.
