ah...as i had 6db noise before the migration, and i only have 1 socket in the house, and I haven't changed line cable to router or microfilter I do hope you're wrong..especially as this current connection is currently lower than the adsl one i was on Originally Posted by Isitme

Sky work with a 7db default noise margin. I could be wrong as DLM can do some good work on some lines, but from experience, I think your margin is too low. For comparison, this is mine at the moment. I could get a bit more, but prefer a stable connection.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed. 9213 kbps 1022 kbps
Line Attenuation..... 38 db......... 20 db
Noise Margin...........11 db......... 8 db

I'm hoping the 8516 Kbps in this log is an indication things are likely to improve, but honestly not too worried yet, 10 days to go.
If worst comes to the worst, I'm still going to have fairly fast internet connection with unlimited usage and faster upload.

Not really, it means your speed will not improve any more. Have you tried the Test socket?

orderd: 25th januray
router arrived 3 days later
ativation date: 01st febuary
didnt work till the 2nd then sky rang and said they cancled dlm and jus set it to a speed stats are:

Connection Speed 18014 kbps 969 kbps
Line Attenuation 18.5db 10.9db
Noise Margin 7.1db 7.3db
