As IWNTE says, you have problems, without correction you will be lucky to get 2.5Mb. Post in the Help section including your latest stats and also from your Test socket. Do not reply here as this thread is purely for information and not help.

Re: Activated now then please post info here
Just moved over from UKOnline to Sky BB and posted in the Exchange Forum about that.
I, not Sky, mucked up to start with and yes I rebooted router a couple of times when it kept going amber on me, which I know I shouldn't have, anyway Stats as follows:-
All connections direct to Master Socket - faceplates, who needs them
Previously with UKOnline
Connection Speed 8160 kbps 768 kbps
Activation Date as advised
23/11/10 1130PM
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4095 kbps 510 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.5 db 13.2 db
Noise Margin 15.8 db 22.0 db
24/11/10 1130PM
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10239 kbps 891 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.5 db 13.1 db
Noise Margin 13.1 db 7.5 db

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9215 kbps 906 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.5 db 13.1 db
Noise Margin 15.0 db 7.5 db
25/11/10 1730PM
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9215 kbps 906 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.5 db 13.1 db

Noise Margin 14.7 db 7.5 db
Seems to be steadying downwards. Haven't rebooted for 24hours plus so it might pick up. Fingers crossed.

Re: Activated now then please post info here
If it doesn't then just call and get it manually configured, should get 12Mbps-ish

Re: Activated now then please post info here
DLM will only normally resync your router in the early hours, between 2-3am. So don't look for a change during the daytime. If you have one, try plugging your router into the Test socket, see if your noise margin increases.
When on UKOL, you were on G.DMT, now you are on ADSL2+. This mode is a lot more 'picky' than standard ADSL as it uses a wider frequency range, so any little problem with your wiring will be accentuated. This is why it is important to use the Test socket to establish your full speed potential. With your attenuation and a good line, I would expect you to get around 13Mb.

Re: Activated now then please post info here
Sorry the comment in my earlier post should have read Test Socket. Haven't used a faceplate for years.
I am finding that if I am downloading, even if I throttle the application then I lose signal and get an amber light. Is this due to the Router? Used to happen on my DGN2000 but not on the DG834G when I was on UKOL. (PS I realise this is a bit off topic as well.)

Re: Activated now then please post info here
Just joined up (defected from VM). Was activated as advised 20/12/10 around 3.30pm
Stats upon activation:
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4095 kbps 510 kbps
Line Attenuation 18.0db 9.8db
Noise Margin 15.8db 23.0db
The stats haven't really changed since then. Does that mean DLM hasn't started up yet? And what would I expect to get in terms of speed?
