You need to let DLM do it's thing although with those stats you won't get much more, have you tried the router in the TEST socket yet?

I haven't tried the test socket, the line in question was only installed about 3 months ago and it is the filtered face plate.

There is nothing else plugged into the line, no extensions or phones, it is purely for broadband.

Well it took a while but I've just noticed today that my router synced last night at

Noise Margin downstream 7db
Noise Margin upstream 8db

Quite pleased with that, it's been a rock solid connection so far

Connected to Sky BB 14th April

Current stats are,
ADSL Downstream 4095 kbps
ADSL upstream 510 kbps
Line Attenuation 14.5 db D/S 6.5 db U/S
Noise Margin 23.8 db D/S 23.5 db U/S
Distance from exchange 0.3 km

The 10 days dlm wait are taking for ever ! What sort of download/upload speeds should I expect with the above info ?

DLM will probably kick in during the early hours of the morning. With your low attenuation you should get 16-18Mb. If you are not using a filtered faceplate, check your stats in the Test socket if you have one, see if the downstream noise margin goes up by much

If you can its a good idea to stream some live radio to put some data down the line, even better if you leave it run 24 x 7.

Returning to sky from 02 Broadband.

Activation date was 14th april.

Havent recieved my router yet and called them and they havent even sent it out!!!

Luckly because i used to be on Sky Broadband i had an old one so heres my stats.

What speed should i expect and how long does it take to kick in ?
