Gaming on Sky BB
Just wondered if anyone who is activated on Sky BB can give any info on their online gaming experience. I have read that interleaving is set to on as default, so wondering about pings & any packet loss?

While interleaving is on, the LLU network is (much) more efficent than BT's network -- so pings shouldn't be dramatically different from BT fastpath.

Would they switch off interleaving if you requested it? I will see how it goes when I get it, but it would be nice to know they could change it if I asked for it.

lol luckyknight. They have trouble signing you up, you think they will know what interleaving is? You could only hope i would say. Your best bet to make sure it doesn't get switched on, once activated leave your router on solid for 3 days so that it doesn't resync. Then it won't get turned on.

Won't work that way -- this isn't MaxDSL. You'll be interleaved straight from the start most likely.
On UKonline (another residential ISP that sky owns from their takeover by easynet), people have sucessfully requested changes over to fast, we'll have to see if Sky take a similar approach.
