Switching from Superfast to Ultrafast seamless?

We currently have Superfast via SR203 Hub and we are moving to Ultrafast via an ONT which we have currently installed.
The date of switch on is the 3rd December anytime up until midnight.

My Question is as it is not via copper wire an through the ONT FTTP i assume my Superfast broadband package will stay active during the switchover up until midnight on the 3rd?
Leaving me with no break in my internet connection for the day?

Anyone with any knowledge of this i would appreciate thanks.

Re: Switching from Superfast to Ultrafast seamless?

I fear this is going to be a question for Sky. Even if they aren't migrating anything physical on the back-end they may well be transferring your account e.g. RADIUS authentication details etc to the new circuit on their systems.

In exactly the same way as a mobile phone number port (for example) I would generally expect a 24 hour window for oddities with this kind of transfer although it would be nice to know if it goes very smoothly.

I'm not sure if you've had any clarity from their customer services? If not best of luck for tomorrow!
