Sky ADSL and Billion 7800DXL
My parents have an old SR101, i want to replace it with a Billion 7800DXL
I have retrieved the login details and put them in the Option 61 client ID, selected IP over Ethernet, set up options for VPI/VCI(0/40), changed the Encapsulation mode to VC/MUX
I can get a line rate but no connection, can anyone help please?

Re: Sky ADSL and Billion 7800DXL
Just stole this from the Billion forums can you please review your process/settings and see if anything is missing?
It's been a while since I had a Billion router but pay careful attention to the points below about removing other virtual interfaces (stage 3) and ensuring the new interface you created has been selected as default (9)
Report back?
Here are the steps for a fibre setup with the 7800DXL/DX/VDOX/X
1. Reset the unit back to factory default settings
2. Click on 'Configuration >> WAN >> WAN service'
3. Remove the 'pppoa0' interface which is used for ADSL
4. Click on the 'Add' button
5. Change the 'WAN' port to 'Ethernet'
6. Change the 'Type' to 'IP over Ethernet'
7. In the 'Option 61 Client ID' enter your skyusername and password with | in between the username and password, just like on the 7800N
8. Click on 'Next'
9. Under 'Available Routed WAN Interfaces' you will see your new 'ipoe' connection, select it and click on the arrow pointing left (so this 'ipoe' connection should now be listed under 'Selected Default Gateway Interfaces'
10. Then click on 'Next' and that should be it
