my battle with Sky!
Hi all, first post, hoping someone can point me in the right direction of some help or if anyone else has experienced this problem.
26/10/06 - Rang Sky and ordered Broadband with my MAC code with wanadoo
28/10/06 - Received welcome letter and advised router would be with me within 7/10 days.
7/11/06 - Wanadoo closes account, still no router.
8/11/06 - Speak to 2 different people at sky, 1 says problem other says everything is going through fine, should have router shortly.
9/11/06 - Speak to BT wholesale (and check order online), line has migrated sucessfully, ring Sky back, 'no, theres a problem you DON'T have broadband with us'.
10/11/06 - Speak to manager at Sky (Debbie), she rang BT and confirmed my line was active but doesn't know what to do! She advised someone would call me on the 13/11/06.
13/11/06 - no call
14/11/06 - no call
15/11/06 - spoke to Sky again, Debbie is off sick, I ask if someone else can look into my problem, 'theres no supervisors around at the moment, i'll leave your notes on one of their desks but ring back tomorrow!!
So in conclusion, I now have Sky ADSL on my line but no modem, Sky say they now recognise this but don't know what to do!

Exactly the opposite to me.
I've had a router for ages but they haven't connected the other end of my line up.
To be honest all you can really do is ring periodically (use the 0800 number) and collect the excuses. Hopefully one day they'll get fed up of the calls and send you a router.

My Battle with Sky
I ordered Sky Broadband back in August. I've been without internet access since I cancelled my AOL subscription on September 1st - since then, Sky have been unable to even complete the order and send me a router!!
I've spent over 12 hours on the phone to them, but no-one there is able to establish what the problem is - each time I call, there is a different problem. They just blame "the system" or even blame eachother. Even their "Team Leaders" can't help.
