We spoke on Friday (at length); I've recently switched to Sky for broadband & phone supply. I am receiving emails but cannot send them. Being completely computer illiterate, I could not understand why, when I'm paying Sky for this service, they not only can't fix it, but, furthermore deny all responsibility. You suggested I contact you here for further help. HELP! Also - since I spoke to you and we changed some settings, the dial tone on my phone has changed to something weird?
We also discussed emulators and floppy disc drives for retrieving data from and Amstrad 9512 - you said you may be able to help there too.
Delay in contact has been trying to work out how all this works.

That could mean you have voice mail waiting for collection. Dial 1571 to access the mail, it may just be a welcome message.

That list needs updating.
Mainstream support for Office 2003 ended April 14, 2009, and extended support April 8, 2014, the same times as Windows XP.
Outlook express was also released with xp and was replaced with live mail, no consumer support for it today.
As live mail is a vista aligned prog, that also runs out of extended support Oct/Nov 2017.

A quick google shows the Joyce website as a good starter for PCW emulation or retrieval.

That's true. However you will be aware that many are still using early versions of Outlook, as they are Win XP. There would be an uproar if support for the older versions, which are still working, was withdrawn.

Yeah, I COULD set up a new email, but that's not the point. I use Live Mail, my address book is on Live mail, I can receive emails on Live Mail - why can't I SEND emails on Live Mail?

One thing that catches many out is the username box. This should be your full email address, not just the username.

Click the 'Live Mail' tab if the link does not take you direct.
