Broadband intermittent, dropping every 5 mins, HELP PLEASE
My internet connection was rock solid for about 3 months then suddenly it started acting up, disconnecting the internet connection every 5-10mins. I have tested a lot of things incl. changing micro-filter, using landline phone to hear that there are no crackling noise, changed to a new sky router (SR-102), plugged into the master BT socket test socket. I have also tested with a brand new NETGEAR-router without any luck. Still the same problem with disconnect every 5-10mins. I have called SKY, they are sending a broadband engineer on Thursday to have a look.
Below are the stats when everything is up and running.
Before disconnects I get a noise margin of -4.-7db Downstream and 102.102db Upstream.
Any ideas what the problem could be ?

allot of things could be wrong here but most likely if all stuff in side of house cleared the would possibly be signal balance problem at junction box or exchange or wiring problem at these points

The fact that you have a 0db US noise margin when up and running indicates there is a problem. Probably a fault on the line. hen you remove the faceplate from the master socket are all your other sockets dead? I am thinking one or more sockets may be wired directly and not through the master.
