Broadband keeps losing IP Connection erratically started this week

I assume by doing this all the extensions in the house won't work any longer? As I will be pulling out the extension wiring to fit the new face plate in?

All of the extensions will work for telephone but not for broadband

the nte5 faceplate screws into the vdsl faceplate ...

your broadband will be so much better bypassing all them extensions
i wouldnt even think about it

and fit it when it comes

it may take a few weeks for dlm to realise your line has improved enough to get the best connection
but you will get whatever they have capped you at after its fitted

Dont forget to remove all the filters around the house when you fit it
post your stats after its done
and we will tell you if your being capped and waiting on dlm to uplift your connection

Sorry for jumping on an old thread, but my SR102 has just started having regular dropouts over the last couple of weeks. Infact 4 times in the last hour. Everything will be fine, then the 'net' stops working. All lights on the router are white, then after a bit the internet light will go orange and eventually connect.

I'm on the latest FW, but not sure when it upgraded..... I'm guessing recently!!

Which do you have version? 1086 or 1087?

If you have 1086 then I'd suggest that you run the recovery too and downgrade it as this may resolve your issues. 1087 appears to be fixing them.

1086..... I'm toying with upgrading to the old version, but can't face putting all the settings back in for port forwarding etc (I guess I can back up settings?).

I'm actually seriously considering the netgear D7000 as I'm losing faith on them ever releasing a decent router.

As I mentioned above, 1087 does appear to be successfully fixing the reboot issue.

From the posts I've seen the stability and up times have all been resolved.

... but how long before 1087 is fully rolled out. It's these circumstances when you realise how much you rely on a stable internet connection. Streaming a film then BANG..... a few mins wait while the connections sorts itself out.
