12 months free broadband
I have subscribed to broadband for about 3 years now. I have multiroom and the family package. I currently pay 7.50 for broadband.
Has anyone managed to get it free if already subscribed?
I work for a supermarket, at the moment we have sky popup at the store asked him he said phone up and ask they can only say no!
Any tips to get them to say yes lol!! Sky should be loyal to existing customers (16+ years) as well as new!!

Re: 12 months free broadband
Hello Henhead
I am afraid that Sky do not understand Long term customers & care even
less !! I have been with Sky for around 15 yrs & I have never received any
sort of discount / deal of any sort !! I am afraid its all about ' New Customers,
Sometime ago I was thinking about upgrading to fibre BB & rang Sky to see what
type of deal was an option for me as BT offered a cheaper deal although I had no
desire to return : the reply from Sky Bye Bye.................So thats the Answer!!
Just a Thought............

Re: 12 months free broadband
In fairness, very few companies now look after long-term customers.
I can think of many examples where some firms actually rip-off long standing customers more than the new ones than Sky have ever been accused of.

Hello henHead
I am afraid Scubbie is quite right in her comments very few if any major
company's are concerned about long term customers its all about ' New
Customer' gain so if they lose a few along the way so be it !! New Customers
look good on the Monthly Figures : I get Special Offers' every week from
BT/TT/VM etc...... & I have friends that make a habit of changing suppliers
every year !!..& always get very good deals !! but you have to manage
payment changes / Dates etc or you end up in a mess !!
Just a thought.............

Re: 12 months free broadband
I spoke to sky last year as I was leaving to go to another telecoms/BB provider, due to lack of cheaper advanced line rental, and some good introductory offers else where, Sky were no longer competitive, when I ponted this.out they offered me a further year of free BB which bought them in line with the offer I was considering, so I have stayed, other offers continue to outstrip sky's standard offer, so if things remain when my present offer expires I will go else where, unless sky can convince me otherwise. I have no loyalty to any service provider it's who offers me the best deal.

Re: 12 months free broadband
I quite agree with whats been said i got one year free when i changed to sky, i am afraid it is the worst decision i have made regarding broadband. My signal strength is way down from my last provider O2 i am so disappointed with the service. O2 were fantastic regarding customer service second to none, unfortunately since sky took over O2 broadband they have not come close, i am going to change my provider because i should be getting better service and signal strength.

I've addressed the speed query in the other thread that you've posted in here: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...tml#post446986
