Line stats
I was wondering what my line stats were like? I am a bit confused with noise margin. I have been told 2 different things, one that it should be around 6 and someone else told me that it should be at least double that
Connection Speed 20796 kbps 1283 kbps Line Attenuation 16.0 dB 9.8 dB Noise Margin 6.1 dB 8.8 dB

Re: Line stats
Hi,
I'm a bit rusty on this (been off the site for a while),your stats look fine, the distance to the exchange is your line attenuation , the noise margin is set by the router ( I believe it starts higher then works down to around 6) there is a very informative thread on this site showing what it all means ( should be in a link on my sig below)Links

Re: Line stats
Thank you i will have a look. The reason i was asking was is because i have recently moved and have had sky broadband activated today and at first it all seemed fine but now it doesn't seem to load web sites, i tryed a reboot and that fixed the problem for about 5 minutes before the problem came back. The router says its connected though.
I have had to go back to mobile broadband for the moment until i can work out what the problem is. Microfilters and everything else is set up correctly and the telephone line seems noise free. Im at a loss as to the problem
