@dantheman
You asked for help in the post below and seem to have abandoned it. You should have a speed of 14-15Mb. Maybe if you continue that post we will be able to sort your problem out.

Your on Sky Connect, most people on that package are too.
Start your own thread with your router stats.

Re: Slow page loading times
This thread was started over 3 years ago when Sky broadband was in its infancy. I don't think it is relevant now, it should be closed.

Re: Slow page loading times
Very sluggish today on all web pages, even just going to the goggle search page seems to be timing out occasionally. I've tried rebooting the router, just in case and it's made no difference.
IP Address is currently 90.204.114.*
Using the Max package and connected @ 4287 kbps/764kbps, which is good as it gets due to the distance to my exchange.
It wouldn't surprise me if it the weather at the moment, except that the amount of snow/temperature is no worse today that it was last yesterday or last night, when it seemed to be fine.

Re: Slow page loading times
Afternoon all, long time no see!
Funny you should say this, over maybe the last 2 days or so I've started to notice that when trying to navigate to pages, the activity lights on the router stay static, then after maybe 10 seconds spring into life and I'm taken to the desired page.
I'm also on Unlimited, with no previous issues whatsover. Do we think this could be a cold weather thing?
Cheers for any other reports or advice! Obviously done the power cycle/eliminated wireless etc etc.

Re: Slow page loading times
Hi paulo
I did have some very slow download speeds yesterday evening, but it improved after a couple of hours, but yes it would appear to be the same problem. Even odder is that the problem has vanished as quickly as it appeared. Responses are back to normal now.
Even though there are not a huge number of Sky users in my area, I'm beginning to think that perhaps it was a contention ratio issue as well as the snow/thawing/freezing weather.
Anyhoo, I hope your problem dissipates as quickly as mind did.

Start a thread in the Help section, including your stats, from your normal position and from the Test socket if possible. This thread is not really for help.
