Sky Security Questions with accounts?
I was just wondering, do Sky ever need to ask additional security questions when you ring them up? My Broadband is currently being paid by my dad, I want to remove his bank details and put in my own.
I have the password to the account, but I don't know what my Dad's bank details are. Will they ask me what they are when I try and remove his account and give my own bank details? Because I wanted to do it soonish, but I can't get in contact with him right now to confirm what his are.

Re: Sky Security Questions with accounts?
If you have the correct account password which may be different from the "My Sky" password then you will not have any problems accessing your Dad's Sky account. You will not be asked the existing bank details. Even the agent that you speak to will not be able to access your Dad's full bank details as these are partially masked for security purposes.
What may happen is that your Dad will receive a letter from Sky confirming your bank details but this doesn't require an answer provided that the details are correct.

You're certain of this? In the past apparently he was asked for his last two digits of his bank details, however I don't know the context for why he was asked, it might have been because he forgot his password, unsure. It also would have been a while ago, like 3-4 years ago was the last time we even had to contact Sky.

Re: Sky Security Questions with accounts?
Could be complicated if your dad also has TV on his account. That's apart from the Phone rental which goes hand in hand with the broadband. You will normally be asked the account password, your post code and first line of your address.

Re: Sky Security Questions with accounts?
Let the agent know that you are calling on the account holder's behalf and that your Dad is not present. Provided that you have the correct password it shouldn't be a problem. The only time the agent would need to speak to the account holder would be if a Sky product was being cancelled.

Re: Sky Security Questions with accounts?
FWIW, I have been asked to provide the a/c no. or postcode to begin with, then confirm the name, address and last 4-digits on the card. I have no password on the account. This has been the same when I get a call from them and also on Livechat; which I find a bit uncomfortable but made an exception on a couple of occasions.
