Sky Broadband installing May 9th

So I've managed to get a cracking deal for my broadband and phone for £9.99 a month for 12 months ; I was £23.49 for virgin and while it was 50meg I found it a tad expensive.
Anyway, May 9th is my install date so it looks like i'm back to being a full time member on here

Received the hub today and plugged it in just to see what would happen ; to my surprise my connection is already active!
How do I get my stats so I can share with you guys?

How to get your Sky Router statistics
If you have the black SR102, it'll be the same procedure as with the SR101.

Basically they are fine for now.

I trust that you have connected to the Master Socket.

DLM should kick in soon, although this may be next week.

You have a long line and are unlikely to get much above 5-6mb on your download speed.

Not sure why they said I'd have needed an engineer to come install the broadband though.

It used to be the case that if no one has used the BTO line for more than 12 months, a visit from BTO was always required.

If that isn't the case it may well be that something flagged on the screen when the order was placed to advise of a possible visit.

If you have already fitted a filtered faceplate, hide it if the BTO Engineer does turn up and ask nicely if he/she can fit a VDSL filtered faceplate.

The engineer visit was cancelled as everything was able to be done from the exchange.
Speeds are sitting at a consistant 3.5mb/s which is much more improved than the 1.2mb/s we used to receive last time with Sky.

Hopefully this keeps up as it's fast enough for me given what I now do online
