Hi folks
I just had my partner come through saying that a website she tried to go to was blocked.
When I checked the website it was indeed with a message to adjust our settings which then takes us to the sky shield but it was switched off.
I switched the shield on and added the site to the allowed list and we were then granted access but if I disable the shield meaning nothing should be blocked we are then blocked again.
The website was perezhilton.com, is anyone else experiencing any kind of issues.

Re: Sky shield
Great, over zealous blocking it seems!

Re: Sky shield
I'm not sure exactly how this Sky Shield is implemented, is it just DNS, am I OK for now cause I use Google's DNS?

It is dns based, I have added Googles dns settings to bypass it but just wondered if anyone else had experienced issues.

Re: Sky shield
Hmm in that case I shall add Google's DNS to my router for the rest of family. I just had a play, and can quite happily look at various video sites containing extremely strong/sick type videos so the filter doesn't even do what it is supposed to do it seems. That being said, there isn't much I could find more offensive than Perez Hilton :P

Re: Sky shield
I seem to recall reading somewhere that a lot of those sites were filled with some nasties.
Could I suggest that you google for a news article on which sites have the most nasties? It was something along those lines.

Did a search for what you suggested Scubby and found the top 100 virus infected websites exposed but the site only showed some from the list and the link to the full 100 was broken.
