Should my hub be resyncing every night?
My hub resyncs every night at about two in the morning.
My speeds and latency are as good as they've ever been, it just goes against everything you read about consistent connections being good and resyncs being bad.
Here's my latest Sam Knows report card.

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
Once DLM training is complete it shouldn't do. How long has it been going on? It is possible DLM training has been put back on your line, this would cause a resync at around 2 am. Your router stats would be more helpful than the SKs report.

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
Yeah, seems to happen every night at around 02:00.
There's usually little or no change in speed.
I think it maybe started happening around the 10th or 11th of October.

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
I had much the same problem myself starting on 7th Oct., it resynced every night for 4weeks with little or no change to speeds. Sky put it down to some sort of problem at my exchange, which it may have been as it stopped as suddenly as it started.
What you could do is take a copy of your router log just in case it may be useful, then reboot your router. It has been running for well over 100 days and may be having memory problems. Nothing to base this on, just grasping at straws.

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
Restarted my router a couple of says ago. I has resynced twice since at around 2am. Can't understand why.
Don't suppose it could be anything to do with that IX Scotland coming online? I know it's very unlikely. My ping has improved since though. Have you noticed any difference (being north of the border too)?

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
I spoke too soon, it started resyncing again around 2 am on the 10th. Not making one bit of difference to the figures, as it resyncs within a few kb of the rate it went down at.
I don't think it has anything to do with IXScotland as I don't think Sky are subscribing to it, yet.
For those that don't know what IXScotland is, this helps explain it. At the moment all out data goes through the Manchester or London hub.

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
Yeah, that's exactly what mine does. It doesn't cause a problem, just seams a bit strange.

Re: Should my hub be resyncing every night?
Mine is still the same, except it now resyncs at 4 am. I have tried another Sky router and a non Sky one and it is the same, so it is something on the line that is the problem, not the Hub. As it is not causing any problem I am loath to ask Sky to look into it, just in case they muck up my line completely.
