Re: Sky Connect - indecent connection speed
We have reported that the exchange checker is down. IIRC that one was out of date anyway. Efforts are being made to find out if a new one will be made available and kept up to date.
As for Sky Connect, the OP is not on this product. The stats confirm this. Sky Connect has an upload speed of 448kbps and both figures are odd numbers. Both these are indications that the OP must be on ADSL2+ or Sky's LLU kit.Last edited by Scubbie; 21-09-13 at 09:31 PM. Reason: Corrected upload speed

Re: Sky Connect - indecent connection speed
No, Connect is locked into the ADSL product.
Customer on this package also pay £17 per month for the privilege and line rental on top.
There is light ahead though. If the exchange has been upgraded to Fibre, then they can easily switch to Sky Fibre.

Re: Sky Connect - indecent connection speed
Of course.
However for the price difference (+£3 for Sky Fibre Unlimited) and the vastly improved product conditions, I can't see why anyone who still happens to be on the Connect package would consider otherwise.

Re: Sky Connect - indecent connection speed
Foresight is a wonderful gift. Personally I would not recommend it to anyone. Obviously some people have signed up to it in the past.
Of course for many people, price aside, it is a reasonable package. There are many out there who would be happy just to email their friends and download the occasional file. A 40mb monthly limit would be more than adequate for them.
Yes there are better products at better prices now, but not everyone checks to see if this is still the case either.
