SR101 BLOWN UP. No acces to exract username and pass.
Hi guys. As the title says my sr101 has blown up after only 5 days and as that is he case I have no way of getting the username and pass from it! I know It is a long shot but is there any chance somebody wants to send me a username and pass I can use in one of my other routers until I receive a new SR101
Thanks, Ash

Blown up? Wow! Was there any smoke, flames or explosion?

Nice! All you need is the MAC address of the WAN Port (which I think is on the label on the device). Then find the instructions - which are on here somewhere - that use it to calculate the password.

I've unapproved your other thread as what you are asking is in breach of rules.
Also, please keep everything in the same thread please.
If you ring Sky and speak to them they may be able to help with what you were trying to do. You may face a battle and a few calls bnut I have heard them give it out before.

Ahh sorry I thought posting it in the other section was probably more appropriate. I called this morning and they just said they would reimburse every day I went without internet wich is no good as its free as of the sky sports deal. I'll ring again tomorrow and see what they say.

Re: SR101 BLOWN UP. No acces to exract username and pass.
Long shot but if you've still got the SR101 packaging, I think the WAN port MAC address is also printed on there?
That gives you the username (when suffixed with - I think - at dslsky dot com) and is also the input to the password generator?
Then you've got what you need to setup 3rd party router.
I'm thinking it's probably not a good idea to use someone else's username & password though...++ speedyrite ... powered by NOW Broadband from June 2018 ++
