Re: Router Errors in Log
Hi,
Firmware version is currently 5.23.1a4N
I'm not sure whether it's related, but my forwarded ports stop working at various points during the day. Have tried another router, a netgear one (non Sky) and port forwarding stays active 24/7! Really annoying!

Re: Router Errors in Log
That number rings a bell. I believe that it is the same version which was on mine.
Could someone else with a Sagem 2304n confirm if this is the version that they have please? Whilst mine is in the cupboard, I am not in a position to connect it any more to see if it will download a new version.

Re: Router Errors in Log
Not sure if it's any help, but that's the firmware version my 2504n had prior to the new v6_UNI one.

Re: Router Errors in Log
Thank you gymno, of course it is!
In that case there most definitely IS a newer firmware version available. Just in case though Ogoshi, could you triple check which model you have please?
Sagem 2304n - smooth grey top, black underside, silver ends
Sagem 2504N - smooth silver top & ends, black underside
Next make a note of any personalised settings and also save the 'config' file to your computer using the 'Backup' option in the router's GUI.
Now click the link below and download the tool to reset the firmware on your router. It will roll it back to an early version (perhaps what you already have) but the router should then find an updated version over the next few nights.
If it doesn't we can provide a link to a file for you to download and update the router manually to a firmware.

Re: Router Errors in Log
Any particular reason you have changed the default address range? It shouldn't but it may be the reason your router is failing to upgrade. Try returning it to factory settings and see if that helps. The 2304N was probably the worst router Sky ever issued.

Re: Router Errors in Log
Thanks for your help with the recovery tool, I've just run through it and it's rolled it back to 5.14.6.1a4N. I'll see how it goes for the next few days, and hopefully it runs through the upgrade process ok!
@Isitme I have a couple of servers which were already configured with static IP's in the 192.168.1.x range when I was with another provider/router, so to save changing the few processes they use to communicate with each other it was that little bit easier to keep the same range. If problems persist then I'll do another reset and move over to the 192.168.0.x range - like you say, this shouldn't be a problem in the first place!
Is the new hub/router a lot better?
