Re: Kindle Wireless
Yes that is correct. The default setting is actually 8 capital letters and has no numbers.

Re: Kindle Wireless
You do not have to change the settings.
Personally I would change the SSID (Name), security to WPA2 and the password.
The SSID can be anything you want, although I generally advise against using names that would make it obvious who/where you are (i.e. Number10, ZookFamily), rude or offensive as others can see the name.
WPA2 is currently the strongest WiFi encryption available.
As for the password, anything suitable is acceptable. Try to use something other than one of your 'normal' passwords as you could give it to a visitor. There are forbidden characters which are mentioned if you use them.

Re: Kindle Wireless
I wonder what they'd say if I changed mine to "Virgin Media Are Slow" or "Cap this Virgin Media!".
I'll let you work out where I could put any expletives in.

Zook let me know how you get on with your Kindle compared to reading an actual book. I read like anything and am thinking of getting a Kindle next week as my book cases are full.

Re: Kindle Wireless
I have a friend who bought a Kindle last year. She loves it a lot.
When she upgraded her phone earlier this year she found that she could access the same books once she had installed the Kindle app too. She didn't need to purchase them again either.
