Yahoo mail and two devices help!
Ever since Sky switched to Yahoo my ipad no longer syncs with my laptop. Demonstrably this means messages I compose from the pad, don't appear on the laptop. Likewise replies TO the ipad don't appear on the laptop.
I searched the forum and found this answer viz;
In order to have your email sync on multiple devices, is to make sure your account is set up to use the IMAP protocol. Most free services, like Yahoo!, are set to use POP by default, which does not sync.
Go to your Yahoo! account settings at yahoo.com and change it to use the protocol to IMAP. You will have to then delete/change the email account on your iPad, and set it up as IMAP as well.
However I found this task after an hour and a half beyond me, I couldn't find the 'account settings' at 'Yahoo.com'.
I don't use the pad much on email, but Im travelling in the next few days and it would be convenient just to take the pad only. Is their an idiot's way to effect the changes?
I'm on a Mac airbook and a Mk2 Ipad.
