Vista ethernet connection ,,unidentified network local access only
Hi People as the title says,,its doing my head in .... I am posting this via my laptop which is wireless to the router and working fine....have done all the basic checks so I thought I would try setting up a new connection but that didn't any ideas ???? sorry but the return is not working while writing this post...

I think we need quite a bit more detail. What local network address are you connected to for a start.
Is the IP address a 127.x.x.x format? If it is this is a loop back on a Class A network.Last edited by dms05; 07-05-13 at 09:03 AM.

Are you sure that it isn't your firewall that is blocking it? With many, you have to tell it that the new network is safe to use. What firewall / security package are you using?

well when I rebooted the pc the internet ran up fine and connected straight away,,,,do not know what the problem was but I did read somewhere that this was a fix !!!!
