Ongoing Issues with Sky Broadband!
Good Evening Users,
I am wondering if someone can help me.
Connection DetailsStatus: ConnectedDownstream Upstream Sync Rate: 1019 Kbps 605 Kbps Max Rate: 3048 Kbps 945 Kbps Attenuation: 67.5 dB 32.1 dB SNR Margin: 7.3 dB 15.9 dB ADSL Mode: ADSL2+ Channel: Fast Average Error Rate: 99.67 CRC Errors/hr
Can someone help advise me on what the issues may be. I have replaced filter & adsl wire..and tried test socket...not sure what to do next?Download Upload Total Usage: 34.8 MB 6.72 MB Average Speed: 25.55 KB/sec 4.93 KB/sec

Your main problem, if your attenuation is correct, is that you are a very long way from the exchange. You are never going to get a good speed with ADSL.
Can you plug into your Test socket and post the stats from there. Use only the filter and ADSL cable supplied by Sky, do not use a telephone extension.

Thank you for your swift response.
Exchange is around 2.25 miles away as the crow flies.
Those stats are from the test socket using a brand new micro-filter & ADSL cable as I was getting poor results from sky microfilter and cable.

That is even worse, your attenuation has increased by 10db, which to me indicates that your line is not only very long but is in a poor condition. I would still like to see your stats from the test socket using the equipment supplied by Sky.
Apart from getting a new line installed, which is very unlikely, all you can do is call Sky and ask them to reconfigure your line. While you are speaking to them ask firstly if they will check that your line is on interleave rather than fast channel. Your line is not nearly good enough for fast channel. If it is, ask them to try it on G.DMT which is ordinary ADSL rather than ADSL2+. This may give a better result.
In your place you might be better off with a fibre connection if available or with a 3g connection, rather than land based broadband.
