Sagemcom router and B.B. connection issues
Hello guys,
Im new to forum and was looking for some help , so can u help me .
I have a Sagemcom router ...
Manufacturer Sagemcom
Model Number F@ST2504n
Firmware Version 6.14.2a4N_UNI
ADSL Firmware Version A2pD035g.d23j1
with sky and im having disconnection issues
my broadband (BB) connection keeps disconnecting intermittently, i have been on to sky and
they went through the fault finding process but not having any joy, so sky have said if i
want to cancell my contract i can , as they cannot fix the problem but i noticed on this
forum that the
Firmware Version 6.14.2a4N_UNI is not reliable and wondered could this be my problem
,so i was wondering also, could i DOWNGRADE the firmware to an earlier version to see if
that fixes my problem

Currently not. It might pay to 'subscribe' to the other thread though as I have just spent some time searching the web over this issue.
As a direct result I've 'bumped' a post I made the other day regarding this asking for some comment.

hi Scubbie thanx for the link , i have read the info and i ran the
SkyRecoveryUK tool and i am now back on the Firmware Version 5.27.1a4N
my BB seems more stable again but for how long i dont know (time will tell ) one thing i was wondering , is there a way to stop the router taking the firmware update to prevent it happening again ?

i have followed the links and done the reset and it seems to be more stable now ,
Is there a way to stop the router taking a firmware update ?

Sadly the router will check about once every 24 hours that it is connected and also when you first connect it to the Internet. There is no option to prevent it from checking for an update. It is a matter of time before it will try again.
