Was playing online on my ps3 and suddenly the connection went and the power and @ lights was flashing amber one after another repeatedly.
switched the power off and tried and again and also tried resetting but nothing seems to happen. Now when switched on the power light is only lit green and nothing happens. Help

Just a couple of quick questions to start you off with.
There are some reports of Sky Broadband issues in different parts of the country. Could you check that yours isn't one of those affected please?

As for you actual connection at home, could you describe how your router is connected to the telephone line? Include details about any extensions in use, whether you are using the Master socket and any microfilters or a filtered faceplate and if you are using the ADSL lead supplied with the router or another lead.
