Ping issue

It looks like DLM training may be being rerun on your line. That would account for the increase in your sync speed as well. It would be very useful if Sky could advise users when DLM was being rerun. Surely it would not be too difficult to set up an automatic email system?

Would it not say in "My Sky" under "Your Connection Details" or will the "Line connection testing completed on 'date'" only be updated when DLM training has completed.

Ok, heres what it says on the sky website under "my broadband" section

Line connection testing completed on 02/12/2011, resulting in the following settings:

Download speed setting
Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to 19.0Mbps .

Upload speed setting
Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to 1.0Mbps .

I joined sky over 3 years ago and I never knew they had done this DLM at this date lol.

I agree with Isitme, it would have been nice to know that they were doing the DLM (an email or text message?) as sometimes i switch my router off over night which could affect the DLM.

Should I ask sky CST to rerun a DLM once the exchange has been "fixed"?

Reading through some other posts about the new DLM system, it would be interesting to see if the BT engineer was right about my line being perfect

Ok, just an update. It seems like BTO have upgraded my exchange as the Sky website said, early February.

It has been "fixed" since 01/02/13 but i wanted to do a few speed tests etc. to make sure lol
I now have new stats which are the best I've seen since joining Sky :-

Lucky git, im still waiting. Had my ping shoot up to 16000 in a game on sunday along with speed drop.
