My router is sync'ing lower than yesterday!
Can someone cast their eye over my router stats and let me know if they are OK?
Yesterday I was sync'ing around 8700kbps...
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7666 kbps 797 kbps
Line Attenuation 38 db 21 db
Noise Margin 7 db 9 db
I'm using a Sky Netgear DG934G. I also have the Sagem F@st 2504, which I have tried, and get the same result.

Did you ever plug the router into the Test socket as you were advised to do some time ago? With your attenuation, you should be syncing around 10-12Mb.

If you are plugged into the Test socket using the ADSL cable supplied by Sky, then all you can do is call Sky and ask them if they can reconfigure your line. Re-running DLM training might improve your connection.

I purchased a Sagem 2504n router from Ebay for peanuts... seems to have sorted some issues out...

Connection Speed 8788 kbps 796 kbps
Line Attenuation 37.0 dB 21.6 dB
Noise Margin 7.0 dB 15.8 dB
However at just after midnight each night the speed drops and I need to restart the router every morning.

1 ting to note your snr on upstream is changing a lot indicating some sort of fault/interference is this same with different routers? if so
then when yo contact sky tech point this out this not normal
