Broadband Continually Dropping
Hi,
I have Broadband Unlimited and its been OK for ages, 2 weeks ago the connection went very slow and continually drops, there is alot of static on my Sky Talk line and an engineer came last week, did line tests which all passed, changed the master box and buggered off.... the problem continues. Disconnection happens every 20 minutes or so depending on use, a speed check gives 2.5mb download and 0.17 up. The SNR from my router shows 8 and loop attenuation 51.
its driving me mad and another engineer is coming tomorrow, any advice?
Static on the voice line means some calls are so bad you cant hear.

Just out of interest, if you unplugged all other items (Sky box / router / extentions) and just used the master socket with a corded phone, do you still get all the noise ?

If you notice the noise / disconnections between now and when the bt man get there, try to make notes of the time as this may help ( may not, but might help him ?)
