Slower speed late evenings
Been getting some slower speeds late(ish) evenings just lately. Rock solid any other time, but drops to around 750k/s from a usual 960K/s. Checked the router at the problematic time and it is still sync'd at the same speed, and getting the same 7db snr that I get during any other. time.

Re: Slower speed late evenings
Just tried it again and its back to full speed. Any idea what could be causing the slow downs?.

Re: Slower speed late evenings
Thought I would update this to say that I have since tried my other pc (laptop) directly into the router during the slow period it was happening, and on that I get the full speed. So I think we can discount everything from the router, back to the net. I use a set of Comtrend 902 network adaptors to feed the main pc upstairs (through the leccy supply if you didn't know), so I'm thinking it might be something interfering with those or the electricity supply during the time it slows down. Going to get hold of a long enough ethernet cable so I can test the connection direct, to sound that theory out.

Re: Slower speed late evenings
Could be something like your central heating coming on (been getting a bit chilly lately ) sounds like a good idea to check with a direct cable
