uTorrent won't seed! Issue with Sky?

Hi guys,

This isn't necessarily Sky-related, other than the fact Sky is my ISP, but could anybody give me a hand with some torrent issues I've been having lately? For some reason, torrents which I've already downloaded (or brand new torrents I've created myself) just will not "check" and "seed" when I open them in uTorrent and point them to the correct folder. Nothing has changed in the folder at all, everything is exactly the same, and in many cases I haven't even moved or touched the folder. Trying to force a check also doesn't work as uTorrent just keeps going to download instead of seed. I get this on uTorrent, BitTorrent and BitComet, all of which I've uninstalled and reinstalled again, and nothing is helping. My Firewall exceptions are all set up correctly, as are ports, but nothing I do will let me upload fresh torrents at the moment.

Can anybody help me at all with this? It's incredibly frustrating!

Your stats confirm that you are on Unlimited, so therefore it is not a Sky throttling / blocking issue.

There has to be a reason local to you as to why this is not working.

Are you using UPnP at all? I read somewhere (maybe true or not) that if you do use this, then your ports forwarding issues should be resolved.

However I do not download torrents and so am ill advised to help. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some pointers to check etc

All fine here.

As has been suggested, check the settings, enable UPnP and also check the actual torrent.

I have found that some private sites don't allow you to upload until the torrent has completed in the past.
