noise margin 14.db with slow internet?
Hey my internet has been running really slow lately here is my settings anyway to fix it?
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1347 kbps 796 kbps
Line Attenuation 47.0 dB 26.8 dB
Noise Margin 14.1 dB 15.9 dB

How is your router connected to the telephone line?
For example are you using microfilters, filtered faceplate, a telephone extension, short ADSL lead supplied with the router?

ADSL lead supplied with the router that connects to a small box with two connections that then connect to the wall I'm not sure what you call it

Ok, the pic below is of a Microfilter. There should be one installed in every telephone socket in your home, before anything else:
Could you see if your telephone socket is an NTE5 socket and plug the microfilter into the Test Socket behind the faceplate please?
Sky User - How to test your Master Socket
If you can then post your connection stats from the Test Socket.

On the face of it it looks like your line has had difficulties and has been capped. As your noise margin has gone up it looks like it has been fixed, call Sky and ask them to either rerun DLM on your line or configure it manually.

Hey thanks for answering back I rang sky and I think they reran my DLM my speeds at

Noise Margin 7.3 dB 16.0 dB
why does it get capped? do they just randomly put peoples speeds down because some people won't notice?

Yeah DLM has put you on G.DMT which has stabilized your line and increased the download speed. Your line attenuation is lower because the modulation type has changed to ADSL (G.DMT). Them stats look fine now and connection should now be fine.
