SKY Broadband Speed Related to TV Package??
I know that this has been asked before in the forums but has anyone noticed a change in their speed when they add/remove SKY Movies from their TV Package?
I thought it may just be coincidence, but since I added SKY Movies to my viewing package on Monday evening my Broadband throughput has improved significantly. I'm back to streaming Netflix in constant x-high HD. Prior to the upgrade I was lucky if I could get High SD / Medium HD.

no reason for any tv package sky or otherwise to change your line rate

Well I thought that too, but I can certainly see a massive improvement in my download speed. My sync speed has remained constant at 19256 but my throughput has increased considerably.
I'll keep monitoring it though. Will be interesting to see what happens when I cancel the movies next month (well 2 months tine if you count the 31 days notice period)

You may have benefited from the update in Sky's DLM software back in April.
It is currently slowly going around all the different connections and checking to see if the connection speed can be improved. If you take a look at the Router Statistics page you may find that the Noise Margin is now below 7dB as well. If this is the case, then DLM has been working on your line.
