Re: Increase my Upload Speed?
Thanks Shonk!!
Sorry, I wasn't sure I was explaining myself correctly.
I have just ordered one of each of the following,
GENUINE BT OPENREACH VDSL FACE PLATE,BRAND NEW IN PACK | eBay
Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: Tenda S105 10/100 5-Port Mini Switch
8M Metre RJ45 Ethernet Network Cat5 LAN Patch Cable Lead for Networking White UK | eBay
(This is not the one you suggested, I need a white cable to keep it hidden)

Re: Increase my Upload Speed?
I've bought a filtered faceplate (BT/Openreach VDSL/ADSL Premium Faceplate - VDSL I Plate) and got Sky to run DLM on my line again. I'm now at my top speed that Sky quoted me 14.3 mb/s and my upload speed has gone up nearly 200 k/b, and that's thanks to this thread (Ta Tom), and that's after only 2 days...

It all seems stable and the internet seems much zippier too.
I'm not sure how the Noise Margin works though... It's never been that low before...

Re: Increase my Upload Speed?
you should get 1120-1150

Re: Increase my Upload Speed?
DLM has currently set your line speeds. If you call Sky to get the upstream speed increased, then the downstream won't be able to be as fast. This is because the noise Margin for the Downstream is below 7dB.
Using the checker on this forum, you should only have a connection speed of between 10mb-12mb for your Line Attenuation. I think your line shows that the new version of DLM is doing a great job.
It would be nice to see the upload speed increase, but IMHO you will have to leave it to DLM to resolve.

Re: Increase my Upload Speed?
It isn't too late to fit one if you wish. DLM is a little better now at constantly monitoring lines and will improve things if it is possible. If you prefer, you could always contact Sky after fitting the faceplate and see if there are any possible improvements still to be had.
It seems the best faceplate available now is the vDSL faceplate.
Could I ask you to start a new thread please?
It gets confusing it more than one person is trying to improve their connection in a thread.

Re: Increase my Upload Speed?
Well I will settle with this,
ROUTER STATISTICS
System Up Time: 19:56:47
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time WAN PPPoA 13807 16337 0 429495290 112 2:27:47 LAN Up 942502 707340 0 3385 1999 19:56:47 WLAN Up 659062 345045 0 9645 1760 19:56:26 ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 14332 kbps 1107 kbps Line Attenuation 36.0 dB 22.0 dB Noise Margin 4.0 dB 8.0 dB Poll Interval: (secs, at least 3s)
Very happy indeed

That looks very good for your line.
You have both good download and upload connection speed. The d/l is also within Sky's estimate of 14mb.
