broadband download speeds

i have just joined sky from appalling speeds from bt in my area
i got 2Mb on connecting to sky and now after 14 days it has progressively got down to 0.648
my son lives a few streets away and i tried my laptop there and got 2Mb

i set up my laptop wireless router right next to the phone socket to get those results

i could be in a poor area...the bt speeds reflected this...but

i really was looking forward to some improvement

what can you advise please, i have tried to email sky with the data but so far no reply...and i hate those chat boxes...i prefer hard copy on these matters

the fact that speeds have dropped indicates something is wrong as stated post your stats also when you where with bt did you have any engineer visits ? , what's the telephone line quality like any noise or poor/faint voice on calls?

Try posting your stats and also do a quiet line test and let us know how it goes
